My Shopping Cart Cover Story
My name is Amy. I am a stay at home mom of three boys, ages 11, 9, and 3 (hence the name of my web site). I am always looking for ways to improvise and work with what I have. I love sewing, but I'm not an expert by any means. I have sewn one of a kind clothing for friends and relatives over the years and that's about the extent of my experience. One of my friends approached me and asked if I would be willing to sew a shopping cart cover for her daughter, so I agreed and started my search for a pattern. To my dismay, I could not find many available at all. The patterns I could find were by no means easy to sew and the after sale support left much to be desired. As a result of this experience, I made it my mission to design my own shopping cart cover pattern that is easy to sew with instructions clear enough for anyone to understand.
My research efforts....
Since I was a novice at this, I recruited my grandmother, whom I'll refer to as Granny, to help me with my research and design ideas for my shopping cart cover pattern. Granny and I worked together for a few weeks and the lessons I learned were priceless. I would like to thank my Granny for her patience with me as I learned more about the time-honored tradition of sewing. It was her insight and experience that helped me to realize that I had a knack for sewing and designing easy to sew patterns.
Four years later...
I've been selling my easy sewing patterns online for the past four years and I feel that it's time to take the next step and do some self promotion. I want to share what I've learned about sewing with others as well as learn from those that are more experienced than I am, so I recruited my husband (the computer geek) to build me a web site so I could sell my patterns as well as offer a sewing help community. My forums and web site are new, but with the help of you and others, I hope to see this site and community evolve into the premier location for sewing enthusiasts of all skill levels to convene and share sewing information. I hope you enjoy the site! Be sure to register in the community area and tell others about it, so we can build a new sewing community for future generations. If you are interested in being a moderator, or if you have additional topic ideas that you feel should be added to my sewing community, contact me Thanks again for stopping by!
